Dottie Gandy Dottie brings richness of background that includes highly successful careers as a corporate executive, business owner, consultant, speaker, facilitator and author.

Dottie is the founder of The Up to Something Group in Dallas, TX, whose members choose to be intentional about designing the lives they want – and create extraordinary results in the process. She and Rita Bailey are co-authoring a book on what it means to be “up to something” in your life.

Ms. Gandy and Marsha Clark are the co-authors of Choose! The Role That Choice Plays in Shaping Women’s Lives (Brown Books Publishing, September 2004). Simon and Schuster published Gandy’s first book, 30 Days to a Happy Employee: How a Simple Program of Acknowledgment Can Build Trust and Loyalty at Work. She was the regional director for the Franklin Covey Company in Dallas for six years, and is currently a Client Partner both for Franklin Covey and InsideOut Development.

An avid supporter of women in business, she is the co-founder of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Later she was a corporate executive for 10 years with Giant Food, Inc. in Washington, D.C., a Fortune 500 food retailer.

Dottie is a native Texan, with a B.A. in Communications from Baylor University. She currently resides in Allen, Texas. Although much of her adult life was spent in Washington, D. C., she returned to Texas in 1991 to marry her college sweetheart, Tom Gandy. Dottie has two daughters, one stepson, and four extraordinary grandchildren.
